Weekly Fantasy Football Chat (8/16)

In all honesty, neither will make a difference in redraft most likely, so my initial words of advice is to not sweat this decision! Next, I’d probably lean Rountree since he may be more likely to carve out a role in the Chargers offense, with Ekeler operating as the receiving back. I wouldn’t take either of them over a more established or higher-upside RB in the later rounds, however.

I think he’s definitely worth a late-round flyer! With the prior top-two receiving options gone from Detroit, St. Brown could surely provide a high ROI considering his current ADP if he takes control of the top WR role, primarily competing with Hockenson and Swift for targets.

All things held equal, I’d definitely lean Zeke/Barkley here as I prefer paying for the RB premium since they’re generally more impactful and valuable in fantasy than WRs. There area ton of great WRs in the middle rounds. It’s super deep!

Keepers are Henry and taylor

league is shifting from half ppr to full ppr 12 team

I have the 1st 9th and 13th. Then tour end 2nd round 3rd start come back

At number one. I feel my choices are between 2/3 players

Chubb Ridley Jefferson

If I go Chubb I can get Robinson/McLaurin at 9
13 - woods / Evan’s / Godwin and sometimes McLaurin

Are Available at 9/13 if I go Chubb then I find I take a combo of Lamar/Murray and Andrew’s/pitts at the 2/3 turn

The Ridley / Jefferson debate comes down who had a better year. Jefferson is ratings are higher in yahoo’s projections week to week and Ridley should have more upside with Julio gone and will those targets will go to Ridley/gage/pitts

If I go Ridley at 1 I find at 9 is sometimes Waller/dobbins/Robinson/McLaurin
13 - same as above

Then at 2/3 swing taking hunt/Murray/M.Thomas

So my main question is what are your thoughts on chubb vs hunt debate and ridleys upside with jones gone but true double coverage year round. And Jefferson 2nd year.
And would you take Murray at the 2/3 window which is basically the 4/5 round window with 2 keepers

Or try for a A.rod and Tonyan at like 8/9 rounds and simply go best available till then

I just no rb depth is gone after 3/4 rounds including keepers.

Is it best to take Mahomes early ( round 2) or wait till around 5 or 6 to snag a QB ?
Thank you for your time.

I just had my draft yesterday. 10 team PPR family league. The draft wizard said I nailed the draft, because I got a lot of value (mostly sitting on the bench). There was a run at QB which left me with Tannehill, and there was also a run at DSTs in the 9th-10th?! So it looks like I’m streaming them. I’m thinking in 10-team drafts, having studs on the bench is a mistake and I should have paid up at QB, since every bench is stacked. Thoughts? Should I try to trade for one?

Superflex, half ppr, 4 keeper league. Keepers are swift, dak, allen Robinson, and Gibson. Players possibly available during redraft are ceedee lamb, chris carson, darren waller, keenan allen. Which order should they be prioritized?

In 0 PPR leagues, I’d be targeting high-volume RBs (especially after Round 1). Some notable names (who may not have as high of a PPR ceiling) are: Najee Harris, Joe Mixon, J.K. Dobbins, David Montgomery, Darrell Henderson. Later on, it’s worth targeting high-upside players like Raheem Mostert, Trey Sermon, Javonte Williams, Tony Pollard, etc.

PPR. Redraft. We use a TE/WR spot. No designated TE spot. What is Kelce and Waller’s value strictly as receivers, compared to the WRs being drafted around their ADPs? When the scarcity of the TE position is removed as a factor, does their value as receivers diminish?

Kamara 100%. Taking Henry in the top 5 is taking him at his absolute ceiling, as he needs to continue leading the league in rushing to make up for his inept receiving production.

I’d go Cook or Kamara at the 1.02, and then pair him with either Mixon, CEH, Ridley, or JJeff (not as enticing if you went Cook at 1.02) and then one of them or Swift, Waller, Allen in round 3.

Antonio Gibson or Najee Harris and why half ppr

Hello and thank you for doing this.
I’m in a PPR League with two keepers I have Gibson and Jefferson I have pick 5 in the first round and 5 in the second round and I traded away my third and fourth rounds last year so my question is who should I Target in the first and second rounds. we have Hill ,Kelce, Elliot ,cook ,jones ,Barkley, Chubb ,a.j Brown ,Hopkins are all on the table as well. Before I get to my pick 5 or is there someone that I haven’t mentioned that you would grab?

Thanks Jared! Appreciate the insight and taking time to answer questions :facepunch:t3:

Jonathan Taylor worth it over Aaron jones and Austin ekeler half ppr? No worries about Marlon mack and Hines eating away his touches?

I think this wholly depends on your league settings and what not. I highly recommend going for players that have massive ceilings, as you want to win your fantasy league, so everything that isn’t 1st is all the same (generally speaking). Players like Tony Pollard, Javonte Williams, Trey Surmon, Jerry Jeudy, Antonio Brown, Corey Davis, among many others, can be great options!

All things held equal, I’d go for Cook, Kamara, Zeke, Barkley (if his injury news improves over the coming weeks), Jones, or Kelce at the 1.04. Because it’s a 14-team league, you won’t be able to stock up on scarce positions as easily. As such, you’re most likely going to be looking at Kamara, Zeke, Barkley, or Jones there, and I’d lean Cook >= Kamara > Barkley (if fully healthy) > Zeke = Jones > Barkley (if not fully healthy).

Is this a superflex dynasty league? I’d generally say no to this question, but if is superflex, I could see you making this trade and improving your team. If it’s 1QB, keep Gibson.

I got the 8th pick in a 10 team half ppr league. What strategy would you try to go for with this pick? Top 2 RBs remaining? Top WR plus RB? Kelce at the 8 then just top available? Any thoughts on strategy and players you would target here would be appreciated!

All things held equal, I’d definitely keep Jones as a 2nd round keeper. He has a legit shot to finish as THE RB1 this season after finishing as a top 5 guy in each of the past two seasons.
