In my league last year I got Justin Jefferson in 4th round. I don’t know if he was just undervalued or what, but are there any really high upside rookies that you suspect will drop to later rounds (this year)?
I’ll be honest, I don’t think I would’ve done that deal. I’m admittedly not a big Montgomery fan. I think he’s a RB2/3 depending on weekly matchup. I do like the acquisition of Gallup, as he’s someone who could thrive once he gets out of Dallas. I think Swift is by far more talented than Montgomery, but the situation around him in Detroit could very well make you right! I hope it works out for you!
A few rookies I’d keep an eye on later on - Elijah Moore, Kenneth Gainwell and Trey Sermon.
I usually go with talent over situation in dynasty, but I feel like with RB’s window being so short, situation can play a huge role in a RB’s career. Thanks for the reply!
Thanks for all the help!
You may very well be right about that. I believe long-term Swift still has a higher ceiling. But that’s why we play the game!
Thanks for all the questions! Always happy to help
I’ll stick around a few more minutes in case anyone else has some final questions!
Tee Higgins or J’marre chase in redraft? (not taking account ADP because we all know people will reach for chase right around where Higgins is going)
This is so hard. I agree, I think people will gravitate toward Chase because of his connection to Burrow. But Higgins was pretty darn good as a rookie! I would lean Higgins because while Chase might be great, receivers don’t usually acclimate immediately to next level competition
I think I’ll lean Higgins considering they will probably go around the same time and chase also took a year off which no one is talking about right now
Yep, rookies rarely just show up and produce. I know some guys have broken that trend but it’s still a trend for a reason and Higgins is genuinely pretty good! Cincinnati could have a really great passing offense is that line holds up
Thanks so much to everyone who asked questions! That’ll do it for today’s chat, but feel free to reach out any time on Twitter @RealMattBarbato for more questions, and I look forward to chatting with you all again soon!
Why has Russell Gage been falling down the ECRs? I know there’s Ridley - now a 2nd rounder - and Kyle Pitts. But here’s my point. As much as I want Pitts to produce right out of the gate, I don’t see why he should be literally the first early drafted TE to do so.
And even if he does, aren’t there enough targets left for Gage to be considered as a high upside pick later in any draft?
Evening all. Happy 4th. I’m in a 1QB dynasty and I really really really wanna trade Chase Claypool. Don’t see it for Pitt passing game this year & God knows @ QB next year. Thoughts? I’d love to score a Woods or Cupp in a deal straight up. That possible? Not a fair trade? Gimme someone you would trade for CC…
I am in two keeper league. 1WR, 1RB
I am keeping Alvin Kamara (other backs Akers, Jacobs)
WR - Michael Thomas, Keenan Allen, Kenny Golladay or Chris Godwin.
Leaning towards Allen but unsure?
Okay, dynasty where we are allowed to keep rookies we drafted for 2 years, then they would have to be kept with the 1 keeper we are allowed…That being said I have Hollywood Brown and Antonio Gibson as Franchise keepers. Still able to keep Barkley or Zeke in the 1st or Myles Gaskins as my last pick.
Drafted last weekend. RB4 Melvin Gordon is now RB2 after losing Dobbins and Etienne. Available on the waiver wire are Singletary, Lindsay, Michel, Coleman, and Stevenson, along with the rest of the guys you’d expect after seeing those names (no Gus unfortunately). Who do you prioritize and what percentage of your waiver budget do you spend? 10 team non-ppr.
