Weekly Fantasy Football Chat (8/16)

I would take slot 3 and then take LJ/Allen/Murray since it’s a 2QB league. Beyond that, I recommend giving yourself options by going RB/WR/TE in the 2nd and 3rd, unless a QB value falls.

8th pick in a ppr league. Im shooting for A. Jones rd 1. If J. Taylor is still on the board in rd2, should I take him over Diggs or Hopkins ? I just can’t convince myself to go to that route if one of those 2 WRs are still there

:eyes:
I’ve been thinking the same thing. Curious to see his response ?

Thanks for the thoughts! So just to clarify, you’d go Kelce first then a top RB in Rd 2. But if D Adams or Hill fell to me at Rd 2 you would take them over the RB?

I don’t like drafting multiple players from the same team, let alone the same position. It limits your upside, which you need to win your championships. RB and WR/TE isn’t bad, but I highly recommend not going WR and WR, etc.

If you go Zeke/top RB in round 1, I highly advise taking the best player available in round 2 (given your settings). 10-team leagues are all about top-tier production, not depth, so just take the best players available. Of the players you mentioned, I like Mixon and Hopkins the most, with Ridley just behind Hopkins.

I like Hopkins more than Metcalf. Higher ceiling and higher floor. He’s great.

12 Team PPR. 4 Keepers. 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1Flex(RB/WR/TE).

Took over a team w/ these standouts:

Gibson, Carson, Montgomery, Lamb, Diontae Johnson, Kyler Murray, Michael Thomas.

Who are the top 4 keepers? After (expected) keepers are taken out, there look to be a fair # of good WR2-WR3s available.

Which position is generally more valuable in a 3WR league?

For dynasty (superflex), I’d keep Tua and Gesicki. Ruggs is also worthwhile to keep. Landry and Pollard can be one-year hits depending on your team needs but it wholly depends on your team needs and whether you can compete this year.

I think Akers is definitely worth a late-round flyer. Achilles injuries are hard to recover from but he’s good enough and his injury came soon enough that it he could return next year.

With 10-team leagues, punting on QB isn’t as critical if you can take a top QB in the middle rounds. My advice, generally speaking, for 10-team leagues is to just take the best player available. Ceiling and top-end performance matters, not depth.

How many RBs can you start? I think having Jones and Taylor at those prices is great if you can start both and still build out your lineup!

Is this a 1QB league? If so, Higgins 100%. If it’s superflex, Herbet for sure.

I would definitely take JT in Round 2 over Diggs or Nuk if he falls (assuming it’s 2RB, 1-2FLX). But if you’re more risk averse, taking a WR could work since you’ll have more options in Round 3.

Yeah, in a 10-team league, unless like Kamara or Cook falls, I’d take Kelce in the late 1st and then best player available in the 2nd.

Are there any costs associated with the keepers or everyone just keeps 4? Assuming everyone is the same cost then I’d keep: Gibson, Montgomery (if his injury isn’t serious/he’ll be ready by Week 1), Carson, and Lamb. However, this completes your entire RB and FLX corps, so I’d take a look at other teams and see if who’d be the options if you kept Johnson instead of Carson. If there will be mainly WRs available in the draft itself, keep Carson. If there’ll be a lot of solid RBs available, keep Johnson.

12 team ppr. 3 keeper total 1 out of LY draft 5 through 9 and 2 from round 10 through 18. have Henderson in the 18th
should I take ekler in the 9th or A Rodgers im the 8th I’m 9 th pick
also
keep in White in the 10th or pass

10 team ppr who do you draft woods or kupp?

Zeke. He’s a top 5 RB. You don’t get shots at many of those.

Hi. Does it make sense that WR T Hill & D Adams are 5, 6 respectively and Diggs 9th in a “Consensus Projections” Cheat Sheet? (10 team PPR). Lots of WRs! Makes me think I should use “Consensus Rankings” (ECR). Confused…on what to use. Suggestions? . Thanks.
