Thoughts on OBJ

I’m in a 12-team league that allows to start 2RB/2WR/1TE, 1RB/3WR/1TE, or 1RB/2WR/2TE, and a RB/WR/TE Flex. We allow for five keeper players each year, but due to restrictions, Barkley, Ridley, Montgomery, and Robinson are ineligible for keeper next year (not that I would release any of them). My roster is as follows…

Kirk Cousins QB | MIN
Chase Edmonds RB | ARI
Kareem Hunt RB | CLE
Justin Jefferson WR | MIN
Diontae Johnson WR | PIT
Dallas Goedert TE | PHI
Saquon Barkley RB | NYG
Ravens D | BAL
Daniel Carlson K | LV
David Montgomery RB | CHI
Zack Moss RB | BUF
Trey Sermon RB | SF
Calvin Ridley WR | ATL
Allen Robinson WR | CHI
Odell Beckham WR | CLE

Trying to prepare for Cousins’ upcoming BYE in week 7. Who would you release (outside of the obvious players I would NOT release) to pick up a one week QB? Does OBJ have much value at this point?

OBJ does seem the obvious drop here. He’s only played 2 games, and one was monstrously bad (2 catches on 7 targets). If you want to drop him now and see if you can get a decent QB on waivers, go for it.

Agree about OBJ being the one to drop, but I would wait until late next week. Unless the QB option you have is too good to wait for, you can get by with whoever is available come Wednesday or Thursday next week. You never know with injuries, etc…
