Draft Picks Hindsight- Good & Bad

We have seen four weeks of play to get a fair opinion of who is who and how they are doing. There are some players going through injury who the jury is still out on.

That said, who was a good pick and a bad one you would love to have back?

My #1 in Mixon was not good and traded for Swift.

#2 was Lamb who I’m good with

#3 was AJ Brown and very happy.

#4 Etienne is disappointing so far but jury is still out.

#5 Herbert is just fine

#11 London is Great.

I already have 7 new players not drafted.

I am assuming we are just talking about the South Beach League here, since I could write War and Peace with all 5 of my teams!

#1 Dalvin Cook has been something of a disappointment, mainly because he has only had 1 td this season.

#2 Davante Adams has been good overall, having been my player of the week twice this year.

#3 Kyle Pitts. “Disappointment” doesn’t begin to cover what I feel here. TE21? 10 catches on 22 targets? And now he pulled a hammy? He is entering Cole Kmet territory.

#4 Breece Hall. After a slow start to the year, he is slowly picking up steam and becoming the player I thought he would be.

#5 AJ Dillon has been the opposite to Breece Hall. After a solid start, he’s been tapering off. He’s been more of a flex player than a starter.

#6 Jalen Hurts has been MVP material. He has been the konami code QB I’ve been trying to draft every year, but never quite manage to do it.

#7 Rhamondre Stevenson is good, but the situation in New England is maddening. With Belichick, you never know what you’re getting from players outside of the qb every week. Rhamondre can be awesome or disappointing.

#8 Younghoe Koo. Even though this was an auto draft list pick/mistake, I am kind of happy with it. He’s been a top 8 kicker in 3 out of 4 weeks, with double digit finishes in all of them, including week 1 when he was K1 with 19 points. He’s a great kicker on a team that stalls a lot in field goal range.

#10 Jerry Jeudy was ok for where I got him, although I think he is better than his qb right now.

#11 Derek Carr is ok, but he won’t see the light of day with Jalen Hurts in front of him.

#12 Zamir White has been ok in limited appearances, but he is more of a future stash than a guy I expect to do big things, at least until Josh Jacobs gets his inevitable injury this season.

#14 Garrett Wilson showed a flash in week 2 (26 points), but I’m still waiting for him to do better. But not bad for a 14th pick.

#15 Isaiah Likely hasn’t been good, but he is a rookie work in progress behind a seriously good TE. But I didn’t spend a lot of draft capital on him either. Magic 8 Ball says “Ask again later”.

  1. Najee Harris - :slightly_smiling_face:

  2. Derrick Henry - :slightly_smiling_face:

  3. Josh Allen - :muscle: :sunglasses:

  4. Keenan Allen - :face_with_thermometer:

  5. Amon-Ra St. Brown - :rocket: :de:

  6. Brandin Cooks - :racehorse:

  7. Gabe Davis - :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

  8. Rashod Bateman - :slightly_smiling_face:

  9. Cam Akers - :arrows_counterclockwise:

  10. Brandon Aiyuk - :slightly_smiling_face:

  11. Cole Kmet - :scissors: :peach: :foot:

  12. Nyheim Hines - :face_with_raised_eyebrow: :face_with_thermometer:

  13. Jameis Winston - :face_with_raised_eyebrow: :face_with_thermometer:

Yeah Ed it is good to have a top 6 QB to count on most every week. Aside from Allen the 5th/6th rounds are ideal to get one, especially with the youth for keepers. The QB could stay with you for years to come.

I could still have some interest in Pitts depending what you’re looking for,
IF you mention AJ again I’m gonna put you on ignore. lol

Upon further review, been reported that Pitts is hurt from blocking which he cannot do and should not be doing. Very shaky this year and costs a 3rd next year.

I would offer Schultz but know that Dak will not be back until week 7 when the TE’s value will rise.

Pitts is almost my curse. I would want an AJ Brown level talent to trade him, because I know how good Pitts can be, even if he isn’t right now. So I don’t see a trade happening.

OMG, just forget about our trading. SMH

Isn’t that what I just said? SMH

I meant in future as well. You are just out there.

I’m sorry if you can’t negotiate.

With reasonable people I do just fine, doing it here and have done it for years BUT you’re nowhere near close. Have you made any trades which were approved?

Many times.

What is wrong here is you are looking at the initial trade offer as something close to a final trade offer. That is never necessarily the case.

Ed,this was your 2nd counter,

How about this one? Jeudy and Wilson for AJ Brown and Robinson?

LOL, where did you learn how to trade?

I’d ask the same of you. You never heard of “counter offers”, have you? You expect me to give up the house and the dog to you on a first offer? Nobody does that.

What I offer you is what I’m willing to give up. You need to take that, and come back with what you are willing to give up to get it.

These aren’t “take it or leave it” deals. I’m always willing to negotiate. You aren’t.

Two young stud WR’s for an older, albeit elite WR, and a completely unproven rookie RB? Explain the problem with this deal?

Try to spin as you like, 2 young studs are bench players and AJ is 25 at a Pro Bowl level. No one calls that fair.

Going nowhere here time to move on.

And you still haven’t countered, so you don’t want two young stud WR’s for anything. Moving on is a good idea.

My trade was made a few days ago and NOT those two.
