A Rough Weekend Start

I haven’t had moonshine in a few decades. But when I did, imagine a clear version of Jack Daniels that is MUCH better! That’s moonshine.

I am Irish and we have been making moonshine, called potcheen, centuries before any rednex even heard of it. The tune is from many many years ago.

It’s funny you mention Tommy Makem and the Clancy Brothers. They were one of my dad’s favorite bands.

I just went to the funeral service for him today. He’d have appreciated the irony.

My sincerest condolences on your loss.

I did not know this band but their music. I the Dublin City Ramblers and Cahir O’Dougherty from the 90’s and Irish Pubs where we met.

My dad loved Irish folk music. He could sing it from memory.

Here’s a fun tune from my friend Cahir.

One more great, fun Irish tune I am sure your Dad would love.

THAT is a classic! Loved it!

Not as much fun as The Scotsman. Sorry.

Both are Irish classic play on words and fun. A bit of Irish humor in somewhat dark times we never acknowledge.

Not Irish, but another one of my dad’s favorites: Kingston Trio - M.T.A. (Original mono TV version) - YouTube
