Kyren Williams the #1 Waiver Add?

Sorry, forgot to address that one.

Who racked up 84 yards on the ground, with Deebo, TDP and Lance producing even more. The Seahawks absolutely did not stop the 49ers on the ground.

True, but Kyler Murray rushed for 100 yards in week 6, and 60 yards in week 9.

That is indeed the only feat they produced all season. The Giants were trailing all game long, and Saquon looked genuinely terrible that week, both on the ground and through the air.

So the Seahawks didn’t stop either of them them. The opponent just took an RBBC approach, splitting up the 160 rush yards the Hawks gave them between 2 RBs, none of which saw any targets in that game.

To sum it up: the Seahawks run D had one (1) good game, when they managed to hold Saquon in check. Unless I missed something, that was the only game where they kept their opponent at under 100 yards on the ground.

A huge opportunity for a good RB. As I showed you, many good RB’s have been capable of having big days against Seattle. But a lot of bad RB’s were incapable of busting open against Seattle.

That is a hot take. Here’s my not-so-hot take: The Rams will look even worse than Houston for the rest of the season, unable to mount any kind of serious offence.

The RBs that did not produce against Seattle were ones operating in an RBBC or behind a rushing QB. None of which should apply to the Rams.

That is not even a not-so-hot take, that is stone cold common sense. It doesn’t rule out my hot take, though. My precondition is fulfilled, Stafford’s season is pretty much over. I don’t expect Kyren to revive the Rams, nor make them win games. But he will get opportunities.

If you are desperate for points, then you could do worse than Kyren Williams.

Here are your ROS LA Rams:

QB: John Wolford
RB: Kyren Williams
WR: Van Jefferson, Ben Skowronek
TE: Tyler Higbee

At least the Texans have Dameon Pierce and Nico Collins!
Laugh

Van Jefferson isn’t worse than Nico Collins, and Skowronek is competent, too. John Wolford is a problem, though, as is the other backup QB (Perkins? Doesn’t matter, no need to remember the name).

Pierce had a short hot streak in weeks 3-5, and then quickly got relegated into mid-range RB2 territory. Stronger run Ds shut him down easily, as witnessed in weeks 11 and 12.

I don’t think Kyren is any better than Pierce, but I don’t think he’s a lot worse, either. It’s not the player that intrigues me, it’s the schedule, coupled with the fact that the Rams won’t get a lot of passing going.

Pierce’s week 7-10 performance level is what I see for Kyren in weeks 13-17. The biggest risk is that he won’t be able to physically withstand the increased workload.

Herein lies the problem. If the passing game fails, the running game isn’t far behind.

True, but it’s the opportunity that counts. I can see a scenario where Kyren won’t surpass 3 YPA on average. But if he gets 30+ touches, that’s still 90 yards. Almost the same as a good RB with 5 YPA gets on 20 touches.

Add 3 targets and a few yards through the air, and he’s at 12 points in half-PPR, which is where I can see him ROS, considering the schedule.

Again: I’m not saying he’ll be a good NFL RB, or turn things around for the Rams. Opportunity (Rams got nobody left) and schedule (playing 1 mediocre and 4 crappy run Ds ROS) create the fantasy appeal here.

You do realize the Rams aren’t likely to end up in a game script where they run 30 times? Or even run 20 times and target an RB 10 times?

Do you expect them to put up an air raid attack with John Wolford under center and Van Jefferson and Ben Skowronek being the receivers? I don’t.

Actually, yes, I do, because that team is awful. Mind you, I don’t expect them to be successful with pass heavy scripts, but they will still get stuck in them.

In that case, the 49ers D/ST would be a must-start, because that will inevitably lead to an INT festival.

I would expect the Rams to play a run-heavy dink-and-dunk offense, trying to stay on the field as long as possible and creating FG opportunities, hoping that their D can keep the Seahawks in check.

Or they bring back Cam Akers from the dog house for their ground game.
That’s an option, too, sure. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

This thread never happened. You’re making this up, Ed.

Thank goodness I didn’t play against you in this terrible week. Oh, wait…

My Akers saga continues. There is a good chance that Kyren not getting snaps will push me out of the playoffs. It seems only right. LOL

NEVER MIND! I needed 35 in tonight’s game and my Cowboy connection of Lamb, Schultz and D has 37 with time left.

I live to fight another week. F Akers!!! lol

Did you guys happen to notice I won, and the 9-3 Krash Test Dummies are looking like they might LOSE to the 2-10 Cosmic Surfers? I might be in sole possession of first place after this week? Of course, that may not last, since I have to play the Dummies next week. What a way to end the season, with a battle for the #1 seed.

Being #1 is a good thing along with a top match up. However, you’re not playing for anything with the bye already secured as it will be with Kevin if he wins.

If he loses, Zak could take the bye on points with a win and another loss by Kevin to you. Zak would need your help and be counting on you.

For me, a fate worse than death. JK/LOL

Side note- Tim from Surfers is a top manager who got killed with injuries. Look at his roster and draft, not his record.

Of course he is. I saw how he took advantage of you in trades!
