Trade for Kupp?

10 Team Full PPR
Each team is allowed 2 keepers
My team is out of the playoffs with nothing really left to play for this year.
I have two first/second/third round picks next year

Is trading an early second (top 4 pick that round) for Kupp a good idea to have him as a potential keeper for next year or is there too much uncertainty for him?

My Team:
QB: M White, D Carr (just lost Kyler)
RB: D Swift, JK Dobbins, G Edwards, K Gainwell, J Cook
WR: M Pittman, DJ Moore, C Watson, DJ Chark, J Williams, C Sutton, J Jones, T Burks
TE: E Engram, C Kmet, D Njoku

Kupp will be 30 going into next season.
He will come off an ankle surgery, his second bigger injury in his career.
We do not know who his QB will be. I think Stafford will hang up his cleats.

If your 2023 draft was today, would you still select him in the first round?
If yes, make the trade.
If not, then not.

Personally, I wouldn’t. I guess you are keeping Swift (I would). So essentially, you would spend an early 2nd on upgrading your WR keeper from Pittman to Kupp.

That might be an upgrade, but not a huge one. I think the extra second will help you more next year.

For a 2nd have to do it.

For a 30 year old player coming off an injury, and likely playing with a new QB?
Too much risk for my liking.

Granted, Pittman, Moore and Watson might all have new QBs next year as well. But at least, none of them carries the risk of falling off the age cliff.

2 keepers and PPR? I would be keeping Pittman and Watson before Kupp. No point in making this trade.

My mistake. I was thinking this was dynasty. Never mind.
