With so many RBs kept, which do you draft first? Akers or Mitchell?
I would be sad if those were my only two choices.
Akers. The Niners offense won’t be the same this year. The QB will soak up a good portion of the rushing volume, and Mitchell is not guaranteed to retain the starter role.
Akers is not without risk himself, but still a lot more solid option. As long as he’s healthy, he will be the Rams’ undisputed lead back. A role that does not exist if Kyle Shanahan is your head coach.
The injury to Mitchell concerns me. A hammy can linger and keep coming back .
This opens the door for Sermon to show his stuff and take touches and TD’s away.
Not a big Akers fan but agree he is the best choice.
