Just traded Mike Davis for David Montgomery. Good deal long-term?I picked up Damien Williams in the meantime
Good move! Davis has had his shot in Atlanta, and appeared mediocre. Montgomery may not be Mr. Excitement, but he’s a rock steady RB. Adding Williams was a nice touch.
Looking for an opinion. Would you trade gabe davis and amon ra st brown for garrett wilson and a 2023 late first, or should I be looking for more? rebuilding team in a 12 team dynasty, and we decide our draft order based on max total points (best ball points). I already got 3 first round picks next year, and this could help me get bijan, as my only 2 RBs on my team are breece hall and etienne
Davis and St Brown are very young potential building blocks. Why trade them now?
I assume a late first can turn into an early first? Remember, the season hasn’t played out yet. All it takes is a few injuries to turn a championship contender into a train wreck.
I’d see if your trade partner will bite on adding a 2nd round pick to the deal. If not, then I’d probably take it. If you see this as a rebuilding year, every 1st round pick is gold, especially in next year’s draft, which is supposed to be one of the best.

So, you are saying a pick will be better than Gabe Davis and St Brown?
He said he is rebuilding. A 1st round pick could be worth more, especially if it is early or mid-round, which means he is looking to next year before winning any games. Even with 3-1st round picks already next year, adding another could ensure he might be able to trade up for a specific players out of his reach.
Why not Davis or St. Brown? He is getting Garrett Wilson in the deal, so he gets one young stud WR for two and he gets a 1st round pick. None of the WR’s we are talking about are “elite” (at least not yet). They are all just very good. Of the guys mentioned, Wilson arguably has the best chance of becoming elite, but he isn’t there yet. But with his 1st round picks next year, he should easily be able to get the best WR in a draft class full of QB’s and RB’s.
If you want to make “the bird in the hand” argument, I understand. But the draft pick allows him to veer off into other positions of need, such as QB or RB. In a rebuild, having options is important. He didn’t describe his roster, so I can’t say where his needs are. But after this season, his positions of need could vary dramatically, due to injuries or retirements.
Yeah my team is Tua, Lance, Waddle, Amon ra, Gabe Davis, Treylon Burks, Toney, Pitts, Jahan Dotson, David bell, breece hall, etienne so I obviously need RBS in a very RB-heavy draft. I just find wide receivers are easier to come by, especially when they are not elite. and receivers drafted outside of the first couple rounds rarely become elite
So really, my thinking is that Gabe davis is good, but if he was on a different team or his situation changes he will not be good due to his lack of route running. Amon ra is the one I dont really like trading due to the target volume, but jameson Williams is good and he will be coming back halfway through the year. The first will allow me to have flexibility next year and I could flip it for someone similar to amon ra if I want before the draft once the value of the picks goes up. Garrett wilson is also very good. I bought low on waddle and a second last year for amari cooper and that turned out good lol
Your team isn’t in terrible shape for a rebuild, as you have a lot of youth.
Noah, you made your decision before the question, Never mind.
Lol I havent made the descision thats just my reasoning for wanting to do it. I was just looking for other opinions
