Many view Texas’ Bijan Robinson as the top running back in this class, but Gibbs is my choice. The Alabama product is a three-down back with a lot of upside. With his play often compared to New Orleans’ Alvin Kamara, Gibbs is all about speed – evidenced by his 4.36-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine – but also possesses great start/stop quickness and is extremely elusive in the open field. As a receiver, Gibbs is a mismatch with soft hands and solid route-running ability. He’s the type of player who can fit into any system and make any NFL offense better.

Here’s the difference: Gibbs has more straight speed than Bijan, whereas Bijan can cut on a dime. Whichever one ends up on a team with good run blocking, they can have success.

Gibbs needs to add 10 pounds of muscle.

If Gibbs ends up on the Eagles, he might be better than Bijan.

When you watch Gibbs, the Alabama o-line is creating great holes for him. Once he gets through, it’s off to the races. He needs an o-line like Philly has.

Bijan can go anywhere and be good. But Gibbs needs those special places to become awesome. Philly, Baltimore, Cleveland, come to mind. He lands there, and I might take him over Bijan.
