I am concerned about KC dst constantly putting Mahomes in a bad spot and it seems like he is has been trending in the wrong direction. Is this trade worth considering at all?

I like the deal. But go for Robinson, not Swift.

Would give Mahomes up for swift or Robinson. Swift injury prone and robinson looked like he was getting phased out last game. Might have been the game plan, but wouldnt risk it just yet, I would see if it becomes a trend.
