BRACKET CONTEST WITH OPTIONS: 2025 NFL PLAYOFF CONTEST WITH OPTIONS: This is a bracket pool with some exciting options added to make things very interesting. The entry fee is 25 dollars per entry. Here are the rules and settings: Pick one round at a time: Picking one round at a time is poolsbyround’s signature feature and is provides for a more engaging, strategic game. Players will have a better chance to have teams go farther in the bracket, which is more fun.
After the first round, players can still pick any team: Typically after the 1st round in a brackets pool, players can only pick from the winning teams they picked in the previous round. With this option, players start fresh each round and can pick any team, regardless of their previous round’s picks. The point value for each pick, along with other team info, is shown on the picks page once picks are available. Hover over the points shown there for more scoring info for each team.
Underdogs are worth more points: With this option, instead of a pick being worth a default base value of 10 points, an underdog’s pick will be worth 11, 12, 13, etc points. Conversely, a favorite’s pick will be worth 9, 8, 7, etc points. Points values are based on the point spread of the game. Point values may change as the spread changes. Default option: medium. Points increase with each round: For the 4 rounds in the NFL playoffs, the numbers that game points will be multiplied by are 1,2,4,8 Default option: Low. Include Parlay: To play parlay, select 3 games in a round to parlay. Win extra points if you pick all of the parlay games correctly. Lose 4 points if you pick any parlay game incorrectly. The picks page shows the potential parlay points to win based on the parlay games selected. For the NFL Playoffs, parlay is in play for round 1 only. Include Over/Under Picks:
Players pick whether the total points scored in a game will be OVER or UNDER the posted number. Win 5 points for correct over/under picks. Lose 5 or for wrong ones. Over/Under points do not increase with each round in bracket pools. League players don’t have to make over/under selections. Players who make over/under picks do not necessarily have an advantage since there is a 50/50 chance to win or lose points.
