QB this week; Kirk vs Buff., D. Jones vs HOU., or Jacoby B. VS. Miami is suppose to be a sleeper in a high scoring game?
Of those three, Daniel Jones stands out to me, especially against a bad Houston team.
Jones or Brissett. For Jones, you might have to count more on his legs than his passing. The game might lean more on the run, as Houston I believe has the worst run defense. Miami has gotten into several shootouts this year, and Brissett can run as well, so the high score might mean a lot of points. I am a Giants fan and while I think Jones is the safer option, he will more manage the game, while Brissett is risk but more reward.
The Texans aren’t any better an opponent for QBs than the Bills are.
Bills vs. QBs: 214 yd (10th), 1 TD (3rd), 14.59 FFP (4th)
Texans vs QBs: 230 yd (18th), 0.9 TDs (2nd), 14.64 FFP (5th)
The Giants will run the Texans into the ground, and you can only hope for Danny Dimes to contribute 80+ ground yards and a TD to that. If it will be the Saquon Show, Jones could have a rather pedestrian week.
He’s my starter in one league (since Trey Lance went down), and I’m still considering starting Andy Dalton over him this week.
In your case, I would take the gamble on Jacoby Brissett to have his 3rd top 10 game this season. The opponent certainly looks suitable for it. No team has given up more fantasy points to opposing QBs than Miami did.
