Laviska Shenault traded to the Panthers

One of the most intriguing players in the NFL is WR Laviska Shenault. And now he is with the Panthers:

He hasn’t blown away anyone, but then what Jaguar has in the last 2 years? As one podcast commentator once described Jacksonville, it is a “black hole of suck”.

Shanault’s stats aren’t terrible, but they haven’t been worthy of much, other than as a potential flex play in bye weeks. I have him in one of my deeper dynasty leagues, mainly because I heard the Jags were shopping him around. To be honest, I had hoped he might end up in Atlanta, as his build is pretty close to Cordarrelle Patterson’s build: Shenault is 6’1" 227 lbs, and Patterson is 6’2" 220 lbs.

Hopefully, Carolina’s coaching staff can use the Patterson code on Shenault. I can see Shenault playing a CMC-like role there, and giving CMC some needed breaks. Mind you, I don’t see Shenault supplanting CMC, just spelling him.

Carolina could be fun this year.
